about

Data Roaming Records is proud to present its first physical release with a five track compilation on cassette. After a couple digital releases we wanted to go a little further and make something more tangible. What better idea to kickstart this project than to bring together friends from Brittany, Berlin, Paris and Naples ? First off we have Parisian producer and co-label head dc11 with a driving, percussive track relying heavily on alien modular synth sequences. Next up, Diego Amura maintains the pressure with his brand of super powerful, tough modular techno. A proper techno missile from the Napolitan producer with previous releases on Kaiser’s mighty KSR. Label head Kerst provides the next track; a deep, low frequencies-heavy affair with minimal electric synth sequences on top. Tehotu provides the fourth track. The French producer and Berlin expat is very active in the Berlin techno scene and is currently bringing to life a new project called Sinxergy. His track is minimal, yet heavily laden with textures. Closing the compilation is a newly formed Parisian duo called Inherent Stasis. Despite the new alias, these guys aren’t newcomers; they provide an almost 100% percussive track made using their own field recordings as well as classic drum machines; no synth anywhere to be seen.
